Notice To Our Clients Concerning the Coronavirus

We hope that you and your family are well and continue to be safe from the COVID-19 crisis. It will soon pass and we are doing our best to keep you and our wonderful staff protected against it. It is important to us to be able to deliver our veterinary care services as usual. We know your cats are your family, as they are to us, and we will be seeing patients for emergency visits, sickness visits, and routine care.

Cats carry their own kind of Coronavirus which is NOT transmittable to humans and is not the same as the COVID-19. There has been no evidence so far that cats can carry or transmit the COVID-19.

We are a one species veterinary hospital, so our usual sanitation routine is very strict, and at present we are taking our usual routine a step further by doing more disinfecting of surfaces, doors, and other areas that people are routinely touching.  Our hands are still being washed with antimicrobial solutions/soaps and washing a full 20-30 seconds.  We always disinfect between each patient and client. Our bathrooms are stocked with our disinfectant soap and paper towels for your use and our waiting rooms and exams rooms are spacious enough for social distancing.

We are fully stocked with food and medications and expect no shortages of necessities for you and your feline friend.

We still offer “Cat Parking”, our service of being able to drop off in the morning and scheduling a time in the afternoon to pick up. If this will be more comfortable for you then this will also work for us. We can take this a step further as well and adopt the following procedure if you would like.

  1. Our technicians can call you the day before to do a preadmission for your cat parking appointment.

  2. We can meet you at the door the following day for drop off so you do not have to enter the clinic.

  3. The doctors can call you after the exam with any recommendations, findings, questions, and discharge instructions. At this time you can get a discharge time.

  4. The receptionist will call you with the invoice total and payment for services rendered can be taken over the phone.

  5. You can call when in the parking lot and your kitty will be packed up in their travel carrier and brought to you at the front door along with any paperwork, medication, food, ect.

Please stay in communication with us regarding any questions or concerns you might have. Also please don’t put off caring for your kitty especially if you feel they are ill. We hope that everyone, you and your feline friends, stays well during this time. We will all get through this together!

Sincerely,

Linda DuPont, DVM and the staff of Catzablanca Cat Clinic & Hospital
