Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Speciality: DVM

Education: Virginia / Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine

Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Dr. DuPont graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. She practiced as a general small animal veterinarian and emergency doctor until starting Catzablanca Cat Clinic and Hospital in 1990. The hospital was inspired by her realization that cats are unique creatures with completely different health concerns and needs than other species. She also wanted to establish a place where each client and patient could be attended to as an individual, allowing the proper amount of time for clients to ask questions and fully understand their cat’s health care needs.

She has an interest in internal medicine and especially enjoys her geriatric patients. She is also trained in Chinese medicine and the use of the Grady Laser which is one of her favorite tools to speed up healing and relieve pain.

She is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and The Cornell Feline Health Center.

At home she has one cat, Allistar Boo, who at present is enjoying his role as “King Only Cat”. Inn her spare time, she enjoys working and competing with her horses. She also enjoys hiking with her husband, and quiet time with a good book.
