Larry’s Blog – September

Hello to all my friends!!  It’s been a long time …. but I am back to writing my blog!  My apologies for being so aloof for almost a year; but I am a cat, after all.

For those that don’t know I have been a bit under the weather here and there since my last blog entry. With the purr-fect medicine and grrrrreat care given to me by the doctors and staff I am onto my next life and feeling almost like a kitten again!  I did keep busy doing some other things while recuperating.  As always, I enjoyed my meet and greets with all of you and do appreciate all your care and well wishes.  I also, went to the recording studio at Radio 104.1 and recorded a commercial!  That was fun and many kittens where helped with Well Kitten Programs because of my work, makes me purr just thinking about it.

We are always learning new things and striving to improve.  At Catzablanca we are taking our stress free environment to a new level!  We are implementing new ways of helping cats become more comfortable with the “bus” (carrier) and with traveling.  In addition we are implementing new ways to work with each kitty to make their visit more outstanding then before!  I know this is hard to imagine with the ‘Vets Cats Purr-Fur’, I invite you to contact us for further information and come visit us for a most wonderful experience!

In cleaning up some unfinished business I would like to post a letter that was sent to me last year.  It is in honor of a special kitty who passed on to the Rainbow bridge last year.  Here it is:

Dakota

Amazing Spitfire

Dakota,” como se dice” – special place within my heart

Dakota was an incredible joy for the hearts she touched.

The love that she gave and support she shared with was so precious.

Catzablanca (CATZ) was a special place that she was treated three times a week. Even though she didn’t like to go; she shared her special qualities with everyone. Thank you so much for keeping Dakota going for 14 months with fine diagnostic skills that were used from tests, IV fluids 3 times a week and resuscitating her. These were only some examples of the love and care the CATZ Team provided.     Dakota knew you loved her too.

Dakota is one of many we have loved, but she was the special one! She chose us that day at the Humane Society. We watched her from kitten hood to adulthood. She loved to play outside for dawn to dusk.  She could jump 5 feet to get a June bug or a dragonfly and brought back many presents to mom and dad. She delighted in the chase and catch game with the furry critters but never destroyed them.

To the week of her passing, she played with chipmunks.  Strange as it was; the chipmunk stopped hanging around a few weeks after Dakota departed.

Two Cardinals and several Butterflies flew on Dakota’s departure – leaving us with happy thoughts of the life with her. She was such a good girl.

Thank you Catzablanca for the hope and the care that everyone there provided Dakota and us.

We are grateful for amazing support the CATZ Team provided.

Dakota loved you!

Dakota we remember you and your folks fondly and miss you dearly.

As summer comes to a close and we gear up for fall and cooler weather …. we look forward to some of our annual events: Halloween (our anniversary) The Black Cat Special and Cat Costume Contest, Thanksgiving Food Drive, Santa Pictures and more.  I will fill you in on all of these exciting events as we get a little closer.

Looking forward to seeing each of you soon!

Many Meows,

Larry
