Greetings! Don and Domino here to introduce ourselves and reintroduce the blog. Originally started by our brother Larry who has sadly passed away but not before passing the doctor pussums sack to continue his blogging dreams. For those of you who do not know us, let us introduce ourselves.

We are Don Quixote and Domino, people like to say we are brothers from another mother with our matching tuxedos and tipped ears! We have become very bonded since arriving at Catzablanca and can frequently be found in the waiting area taking care of clients while they wait and giving each other love.

Spring is here it seems and I’m a very lucky cat to have a mom who feeds the birds and squirrels so I will have a show. Recently, while I’ve been on my perch watching the squirrels go by, I’ve heard many advertisements about  flea products and I was curious which product(s) you recommend? My mom only wants the best for me!

Dear Samsara,

It sounds like you have quite the nice life with wildlife and open windows! Fleas can cause a big problem if they get into your house, and be a big pain for your mom. To keep you safe from fleas and heartworm (that can be transmitted by mosquitos) we recommend using one of our topical flea products carried at the clinic. We have two options, a one month or two month lasting topical.

For once a month treatment we recommend using revolution. For two months we carry a product called bravecto. Both are applied in the same fashion as a liquid your human will place on the back of your neck. While it may be uncomfortable until it dries, it is the best way to prevent and protect you from a number of things including: Fleas, hookworm, round worm, and heart worm (bravecto also treats ticks and revolution will also treat ear mites).

If your human finds out you already have fleas, you can call the clinic and the lovely girls up front will assist your human in making an appointment for the best treatment and they can go over how to treat your environment  so the fleas don’t come back once you’re nice and clean!
