Catzablanca Cat Clinic and Hospital was founded by Dr. DuPont in 1990 when the idea of a separate medical and surgical facility just for cats was brand new. After graduation from veterinary college Dr. DuPont practiced emergency medicine as well as general small animal medicine and surgery. She soon realized that cats were unique creatures and that there was a need to separate their medical and surgical care from the mainstream small animal care, which focused mainly on the dog. 

Catzablanca was one of the first cat hospitals founded in Connecticut and there were little written guidelines available at that time. Over the years we have been on the forefront in offering the kind of warm, caring and cozy atmosphere that our patients thrive in and which promotes rapid recovery from their illnesses. We have continued to foster this atmosphere while maintaining a clean, modern and professional facility which lacks the cold and impersonal feeling that many hospitals have.

Recovery from the illness and surgery is assisted by the constant vigilance of our skilled veterinary nurses and the compassionate care of our doctors. Our hospital has an open floor plan which ensures that patients are visible in our hospital ward all the time.

We have a fully equipped in house laboratory, as well as a state of the art digital imaging, which helps us to care for your cat in the most up to date way. 

We also realize that all of our feline patients have at least 6 legs in that they are attached to a loving human companion. We strive to make you, as a concerned client, comfortable as well as informed about the health care of your feline friend. Our staff is available to answer your questions and if you should find that your cat must be hospitalized you are welcome to visit during their stay.
